As you prolly noticed I've started a new drawing. This is my very first paid commission, so I'll try to do my best!
It's called Mike's father.
Here are the first WIPs and the reference picture.
Each time I go ahead with a WIP I add and erase things, enhance and change a bit the piece... so some features could look not good at this early stage... many changes have still to be done.
I just wanted you to see the pic I'm using as a reference, to realize I sometimes enhance some things like eyes, hair etc. comparing to the reference picture.
I hope you'll enjoy the WIP.
Thanks a lot for your support and appreciation
Edit: Ok, it's been quite a long time that I haven't worked on "Mike's father" portrait... Quite busy during this period!
During the next days I'll try to dedicate some minutes to this portrait, which I like a lot. It's the first time that I'm working on an A3 size and it's so hard because I use a very thin brush for my portraits... a number 0! So it's kind of crazy to use such a small tool on a wide area... but the results are nice.
Probably in a couple of days I'll finish it and submit the final piece!
Thanks a lot to all the ones who commented the WIPs and this journal.

I'm speechless...
Well Mike said this is the only picture of his father that he possess... so I really couldn't say "no".
He deserves a very good portrait. And I hope he'll have it. All the changes, additions, enhancements I'm making on this portrait make it "original"... I want people to try to overlay my portraits on the reference picture and realize they're two different things
I just try to imagine how things would have been like, if the photo was detailed.
And if I don't like something in the photo and think it could be better in a different way... I make changes.
I think a portrait mustn't be a perfect copy of a photograph... for that copyservices exist.
Hey remember... whenever you need some "help" with your "Italian"... I'm here
